Hemp Growers Say CBD Processor Never Paid For Harvest



Law360 (January 23, 2020, 9:42 PM EST) — An Oregon hemp growing company accused Colorado CBD processor UCANN in state court of accepting a shipment of more than 5,000 pounds of industrial hemp without paying.

Willamette Valley Hemp Growers LLC filed suit Monday in Oregon’s Yamhill County over a 5,018-pound shipment of industrial hemp it said it believes was delivered in October to UCANN — also known as United Cannabis — in Brighton, Colorado, about 30 miles from UCANN’s headquarters in Golden.

The delivery was made pursuant to a contract the growers are calling the Biomass Agreement. But the growers say UCANN didn’t uphold its end of the agreement….
