Studies using CBD

Cannabinoids has been found to alleviate symptoms associated with cancer treatment too, this may also include chemotherapy symptoms like nausea and vomiting.

CBD AND ITS MEDICAL EFFECTS

It has reduced significantly seizure frequency in children with various seizure disorders.
Clinical Trials for Epilepsy
Clinical trials have found CBD to be highly effective in the treatment of certain types of epilepsy. There is also growing evidence to suggest it could help more types, although further research is needed to fully understand safe and optimal dosing. CBD received FDA approval on June 2018 to treat two rare and severe types of epilepsy and is available under prescription nationwide.
Several studies reveal that the use of CBD oil is helpful with anxiety. In 2011, a study published in the journal of Neuropsychopharmacology, revealed people with social anxiety disorder ( SAD ) had a postive influece when treated with large doses of CBD. They were given 600mg of CBD oil before publicly speaking and contrary to placebo, the patients experienced less anxiety while exposed.
Because CBD oil is not regulated as a medical treatment for anxiety, no specific dose can be given nor a recommended daily dose. One should consult a doctor who has experience with CBD oil to prescribe the correct amount.
Antidepressant effects in CBD oil have been examined through many studies. CBD has also shown to improve the symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in children. The compound causes receptor 5-HT1A, which releases serotonin, to fire more effectively. The increase in serotonin production stabilizes the body and mind. It is a natural mood stabilizer that helps with sleeping, eating and digestion.
Due to the effects of CBD oil on the immune system and its ability to help reduce inflammation, it may offer relief from acne. In fact, a study published in the Journal of Clinical Investigation found that CBD oil inhibited the production of sebum in the sebaceous glands in the skin.
CBD oil can reduce acne due to its anti-inflammatory properties which reduce the visible inflammation caused by clogged hair follicles. In addition to the anti-inflammatory function, CBD oil may also help treat acne in a number of other ways.
